Rare Midtown is the original location of Rare Steakhouse. Opening in 1997 as a joint venture of the Miller family, this place has a special place in our hearts. Midtown is located in Goldie Place, tucked away behind the Hardware Lane precinct, remaining a hidden gem of the city.

With high-pitched ceilings and exposed industrial red brick, Rare Steakhouse Midtown offers a cosy industrial space.

Split over two levels the main downstairs restaurant can hold up to 40 guests, with the upstairs acting as a private function and group dining space for 35-50 guests, with a projector screen available upon request.

Our menu showcases the finest Australian-produced grain and grass-fed beef, including Eye-Fillets, Porterhouse, Ribeye, and T-Bone steaks, alongside a timeless selection of starters, seafood dishes and desserts.
